Seoul Tokyo
About This Spot
Stepping into Seoul Tokyo on Borough High Street feels like entering a spirited corner of Seoul tucked into the heart of London. The buzz is immediate—a lively din of conversations, gentle clinks of soju glasses, and the warm sizzle from tabletop grills create a vibrant backdrop. The setting is far from pretentious; instead, it carries the unmistakable charm of an authentic Korean barbecue spot where the pace invites both shared moments and the joyful discovery of flavors.
The air here pulses with anticipation, as diners gather around grills built into their tables, slowly turning thin slices of marinated beef or richly textured ribeye. You might catch the soft simmer of a tofu stew nearby or the subtle tang of freshly made kimchi floating on the breeze. Amid the buzz, attentive staff move effortlessly, offering guidance and little bursts of kindness that make the experience feel personal and genuine.
Beyond the barbecue, the menu unfurls a thoughtful range of dishes that guide you through Korea’s culinary nuances. There’s the comforting weight of a warm dolsot bibimbap, the delicate crispness of seafood pancakes paired with fresh beansprouts, or the playful heat of cheese ddeokbokki stirred into lively conversation. Even the drinks here have their own rhythm—whether savoring an iced vanilla Americano to cool the palate or raising a glass of sake to toast new friends.
Seoul Tokyo doesn’t just offer a meal; it offers a moment woven from shared plates, laughter, and the subtle excitement of discovery. Despite the busy atmosphere, the space feels inviting—a neighborhood anchor for locals and visitors alike who appreciate the honest, unhurried pleasures of Korean dining. It’s a place where every turn of meat on the grill and every bite signals something thoughtfully prepared and warmly served, making it a quietly joyful stop deep in London’s culinary tapestry.

This is my first time coming here, and the food is absolutely delicious. Anyone who wants to try Korean food should definitely come here highly recommended! The staff and management are very good and extremely kind.

Went today and had the Korean BBQ with pork belly and steak ribeye. Everything was delicious, with sauces , rice and lettuce. Meat was cooked on our bbq tabletop by the lovely lady who worked there - totally recommend this place. I did read the reviews (good and bad) but to me the food was really good, the place was almost full so most must agree!

Love this place! This is my top Korean restaurant in London. I have tried many dishes and they are all delicious but my favourite is their snow cheese fried chicken and kimchi soup. Need to go back soon.

Been there in March with my partner and friend. Food is nice. Ordering too many hh. Second time still three people but for dinner, sharing fries chicken and rice stick, separately ordered main: beef ribeye BBQ + beef tongue BBQ, and beef soup. All are nice. It’s very noisy and we can only stay 1.5 hours as the table was reserved. Pay by cask can have discount.

Very impressed with this little gem. The food was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Highly recommended if you looking for an independent restaurant that serves great food.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was good. I enjoyed the beef I got as well as the appetizers. The food came relatively quickly. Only issue would be that the price on appetizer and certain dishes was a bit on the more expensive side. I would recommend this place of you want to try good Korean food with plenty of variety.

If you’re craving authentic Korean flavors in the heart of London, this place is an absolute must-visit. I ordered 5-6 dishes and there were packed with rich flavors. One thing I really loved is how they use high-quality ingredients. The portion sizes are great for sharing, so it’s perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a cozy date night. Prices are reasonable for central London, and honestly, the food is worth every penny. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Korea without leaving London, this spot is a gem.

Have come to this restaurant a few times in the past when visiting London. Never disappoints. Friendly service and tasty food. We had a tofu bibambap and a Jjiggae soup dish. Excellent flavours, good value.
